Wholesale & Distribution Companies

Delivery vans, box trucks, refrigerated vehicles, and mixed commercial fleets.

Distributors deliver their own products on regular routes, typically with box and straight trucks, vans, and sometimes heavier units. Hauling your own goods is generally private carriage, which underwriters treat differently from hauling for others, but heavier vehicles can still bring registration and filing requirements.

Where we fit. We work best with established businesses running several vehicles, often 5 to 50, with current commercial auto coverage and a reason to review it. Eligibility depends on the operation and the insurance companies involved.

Questions fleet owners ask

We only haul our own products. Are we a trucking company?

Hauling your own goods in support of your business is generally private carriage. Vehicles over 26,000 lbs can still require TxDMV registration and filings. See Texas commercial vehicle requirements.

Can refrigerated units be covered?

Reefer units and spoilage are specific exposures. Some markets handle them well and others avoid them, so we look at the operation before approaching anyone.
